DESCRIPTION
ETA4056isa sngle cll, flly itegrated constant curent (C)onstant voltage (CV)
Li-ion bttry charger. Its compact package with minimum external components
requirement makes the ETA4056 ideal for portable aplications. No external sense
resistr or blocking diode is necessary for the ETA4056. Build-in thermal fedback
mechanism regulates the charge curent t0 contol the die temperaure duing high
power operationor at elevated ambient temperature. The ETA4056 hasa pre -charge
function for tickle charging dply discharged bttre. The fast charge crent(an
be programmed by an external resistor. CV regulation mode is automaitially
enabled once the btterys charging curve reaches the constant voltage portion. The
output urrent then decays and is fnally terminated once the charge current drops
to 1/10th of the programmed value. The ETA4056 keeps monitoring the bttery
voltage and enables a new charge cycle once the voltage drops by 120mV below
the CV value.
