General Description

The LP7800HB is an advanced TWS charging casemanagement IC targeting to improve the total battery runtime of the TWS earphones. The IC integrates a linearcharger which contains completely charge modes with300mA and 200mA options. The LP7800H supportssmart discharge management module to protect thebattery from over-discharged to maximize the battery runtime. The IC features a high efficiency synchronous boostmodule, automatic load detection and Key controldischarge, automatic shut-down while the dischargecurrent is lower than the cut-off current threshold. The ICincludes charging and discharging status indicationthrough two LEDs controller. The quiescent current isless than 13-μA in standby mode.

The device provides various safety features for batterycharging and discharging, including device junctiontemperature-limit protection for charging by limiting thecharge current, which is implemented by an internalthermal foldback regulation loop, battery dischargeinductor current-limit protection, VOUT short protectionand thermal shutdown.

The LP7800HB is available in a small 8-pin ESOP package.
